And now for the installation instructions: Your usbasp should not be plugged in.In case your microcontroller uses a USBasp or USBtiny bootloader, enter bootloading mode, and let Windows detect the device (it will report driver not found). I have only tested it with the latest avrdude version and with latest arduino-packed avrdude version. Zadig installs a more recent version of libusb so it may not work with a very outdated version of avrdude.

Click " Browse." and navigate to the ". Click Browse my computer for driver software in the "Update Diver Software - Unknown Device" window that pops up. Right click "Unkown Device" and select Update Driver Software. In the Device Manager, you should see " Other devices > Unknown device".
Close that, and you'll see a " USBtiny" entry populated in the Device Manager, under the " LibUSB-Win32 Devices" tree. You'll be prompted with a " Windows has successfully updated your driver software" window. After a few moments, the driver should successfully install. Click Install this driver software anyway option, to proceed with the installation. Windows will begin installing the driver, and then immediately notify you that the driver isn't signed.
